Show Net profit instead of Gross profit on position line

A position line on a chart is showing info like lot size, pips, gross profit and it is difficult to tell if a position is already hit profit or still in loss because the gross profit does not add up commission and other costs. The problem is during scalping and many position which are closed after seeing +ve gross profit ended up up in loss because of that

    Hello Ivan,

Indeed the TP part of the position line (as displayed on the chart) shows the Gross Profit.
I agree, that the TP monetary value should state the Net value of the position.

That said, when you enter a position manually, the TP monetary value is shown in that UI as Gross Profit. It should show the Net Profit there to begin with (basically applying any accrued SWAP to, and deduct the commission [both legs] fr the Gross Profit.

Given that the list of Positions window does have column "Net <currency>" [where <currency> is to be replaced by the reader's account currency, e.g. "Net USD"] we an assume that the fundamental ability to supply the Net monetary value of a position exists in cTrader, and in extension the Net monetary value at the TP target price should be calculable as well.

As you allude to in your suggestion, it makes better sense to show the Net monetary value than the Gross profit, as it is far less confusing.

I am guessing the biggest challenge in implementing this feature is that it is impossible to show correct net profit value on all three lines such as position line, TP line and SL line because net profit vary with swaps and other costs. A solution could be showing Gross profit as it is now along with correct net profit on position line and approximate net profit with ~ sign prefix on TL and SL lines.

I like Wesley's suggestion to make it optional to choose between gross profit and net profit.
I just want to point out a couple more things, I am using a 15 inch laptop and real estate for chart is really small if I keep the positions panel open and it is very difficult to find out the one need to be closed out of 20 or 30 open positions even from a detached position panel.
cTrader has set a whole new high standard when it comes to trading platforms and this position line is a real life saving handy facility. Spotware team, please consider this option asap.

You can select what you want to see on a position or history line.
Right click on the header line and a list of items will be shown in a popup menu. Un-/Tick what you want and thereby customize what your position / history line shows.
